We were visiting friends who live nearby and booked very last minute and unsure what to expect… Well… We were met upon checkin by the hosts and we felt completely at home straight away. Super friendly and couldn’t be more accommodating than they were. We were allocated a double room prior to arrival. We were over the moon with our room. Huge comfortable bed, beautiful clean crisp linen and homely decor. Plenty of towels, toiletries and not to mention complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee with fresh milk available from the fridge outside the rooms. Plenty of information provided for surrounding walks and attractions, even weather updates!! Breakfast was OUTSTANDING!!! Plenty of choice. We opted for the full English and couldn’t finish it…. And my husband can eat!! Pot of tea and fresh orange juice to compliment also. Sat and ate admiring the beautiful views. All in all, we would definitely stay here again having friends who live nearby. We will visit often and this would be my first choice of accommodation. Thank you Carol and team for a wonderful friendly visit. Until the next time!! Kat & Paul xx

I've just had a lovely 3 night break here and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The views from the garden and breakfast room are stunning. I use public transport so the location was doubly perfect - right on the Sett Valley Trail and a couple of minutes' walk from the bus stop to the station. From the Sett Valley Trail I could get to New Mills and Hayfield with ease and was able to access Lantern Pike, the Pennine Way and Kimber Scout. The breakfast was lovely and my room was clean, comfortable and cosy. Best of all, the hospitality received by Carol and the team was top notch - especially from Smudge the cat :) Some reviews mention things like water pressure and the road but that comes with the A+ location and neither were a big problem for me. Highly recommend.

Carol is an exceptionally welcoming host, with a great sense of humour and the best cat, Smudge (who is a delightfully chonky boy). The room was spacious and very clean, with the most beautiful view of Kinder Scout. We made full use of the tea making facilities in the bedroom, which were well stocked with different teas, coffee and fresh milk from the fridge in the passage. My partner and I both had the full English breakfast, which was honestly the best I've ever had!! heaps of delicious mushrooms, tasty sausages, bacon, eggs, tomato, hash browns and black pudding, baked beans and my favourite thing.. fried bread! What a treat! We will absolutely stay again. THANK YOU!!

We wish we had stayed a week instead of just two nights as just loved everything about this B & B. Host, Carol, was super friendly and more than hospitable and gave us some lovely tips on the area. We throughly enjoyed our long chats. Carol was made for running a B & B! The breakfasts were beautiful and our room was spacious with a sofa to relax on. The nearby Millennium Walk was so pretty as was the rest of the Peat district which we explored for two days. The Waltzing Weasel has 8 rooms but all runs smoothly and Carol gives indIvidual attention to her guests. Thanks so much Carol - you may see us again when we're next in the UK😉

Wendy

Our host welcomed us and showed us to our room which was spacious and comfortable with lovely views. It had everything we needed and more. We followed a recommendation where to eat and it was great. The bed was comfortable and everywhere was immaculate. Breakfast was brilliant and Carole, the host, was bubbly, extremely warm and friendly. It's set in a beautiful location and we went on one of the walks in the information pack and throughly enjoyed it. Being able to keep the car on the Waltzing Weasels' car park was extremely helpful as well. We would definitely go back and highly recommend a stay here.
