I've just had a lovely 3 night break here and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The views from the garden and breakfast room are stunning. I use public transport so the location was doubly perfect - right on the Sett Valley Trail and a couple of minutes' walk from the bus stop to the station. From the Sett Valley Trail I could get to New Mills and Hayfield with ease and was able to access Lantern Pike, the Pennine Way and Kimber Scout. The breakfast was lovely and my room was clean, comfortable and cosy. Best of all, the hospitality received by Carol and the team was top notch - especially from Smudge the cat :) Some reviews mention things like water pressure and the road but that comes with the A+ location and neither were a big problem for me. Highly recommend.

Carol is very chatty and friendly with good local knowledge Location and views are stunning and within short driving distance to Castleton, New Mills etc Room 8 is comfortable Breakfasts are full English and very generous Easy walk to the village for food. We ate at Colloseo the local Italian both nights which Carol recommended. It was very good. Nice touches with water, mints, tea and coffee in our room. Much appreciated. Copious hot water and clean towels. Packed lunches available to order if you would like one.

Our host welcomed us and showed us to our room which was spacious and comfortable with lovely views. It had everything we needed and more. We followed a recommendation where to eat and it was great. The bed was comfortable and everywhere was immaculate. Breakfast was brilliant and Carole, the host, was bubbly, extremely warm and friendly. It's set in a beautiful location and we went on one of the walks in the information pack and throughly enjoyed it. Being able to keep the car on the Waltzing Weasels' car park was extremely helpful as well. We would definitely go back and highly recommend a stay here.

Everything was okay, when we arrived we were met by Carol, very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. We were shown to our room, which was warm, and everything to help us settle down was available Bottles of water, tea, and coffee facilities available, along with complimentary biscuits and chocolate, it's a nice touch to the stay. You get a beautiful view if you sit at a table near the window for a lovely hot homemade breakfast. The only drawdown is that I enjoy mushrooms, but the ones I got were either not fresh or overcooked.

I was convinced that the breathtaking scenery was going to be the highlight of our stay, but how wrong I was. The Waltzing Weasel was a pure delight, the right mix of history in the bucket loads and the modern facilities. you could have asked for more. large comfortable warm rooms with great views. the breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day exploring. As for Carol (owner) she was the star of the show! knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly and really makes the your stay a home from home. cannot wait to visit again.

This B&B felt more like a small, family run hotel, truly excellent. The owner/manager, Carol, was extremely helpful and accommodating. She was happy to cater for special breakfast requirements and provide choices of bedding. I liked the fresh milk provided for tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the rooms. Wide range of options for breakfast. The location was great, with views of the hills around. It was a short walk to a great pub, (The Sycamore Inn, with a very wide choice of food on their menu, helpful staff and happy to adapt menus to suit dietary requirements.)

Carol is an exceptionally welcoming host, with a great sense of humour and the best cat, Smudge (who is a delightfully chonky boy). The room was spacious and very clean, with the most beautiful view of Kinder Scout. We made full use of the tea making facilities in the bedroom, which were well stocked with different teas, coffee and fresh milk from the fridge in the passage. My partner and I both had the full English breakfast, which was honestly the best I've ever had!! heaps of delicious mushrooms, tasty sausages, bacon, eggs, tomato, hash browns and black pudding, baked beans and my favourite thing.. fried bread! What a treat! We will absolutely stay again. THANK YOU!!

Carol is lovely and b&b great, nice view from the window, a shame it's right by the road but that's no one's fault. Our room had a window to the side of the house, so we didn't hear the road much. Ample parking space. Breakfast was really yummy, nice full English and lovely fresh fruit. Garden was nice, good to have somewhere to sit outside in the evening / early morning. Room was spacious and had all we needed. Velux window had a blind (one review said there was no blind, but our room had a blind). Daughter loved to watch llamas on the field nearby from the window (there were binoculars in the room).

I only met Carol and she was brilliant, explained everything a guest at the B&B needs to know. Plenty of choice on drinks in the room, even had a fridge full of fresh milk available on the landing. Nice touch with chocolate and biscuits in the room. Great choice of cereals and cooked breakfast items, cooked to perfection with a bottomless pot of tea.

Carol the owner was very friendly and helpful. I liked the little touches, semi skimmed milk in fridge on corridor for hot drinks 👍, a bottle of orange juice and milk on table at breakfast, and a large cafetière of coffee for one. The breakfast was huge and comprehensive and even the small one beat me. My room was traditional, spacious and comfortable. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom. Although the pillows were rather flat and not fluffy the bed otherwise was comfortable. Just down the main Road to Hayfield there is a path ‘Clarke Crossing’ on the left next to a field of alpaca, just walk down here and you are on the Set Valley Trail which takes you into Hayfield in approx 11 mins walking.
